Austrian Airlines is backed by the Lufthansa Group, while ITA Airways brings its striking blue livery and Mediterranean style to the fight. We’re pushing past the marketing to review the actual passenger reality to see which neighbour deserves to advance in the tournament.
In season 1, I’m putting Europe’s biggest flag carriers through a brutal elimination tournament to find the undisputed king of the European skies. We start in the trenches of short haul economy, moving through to short haul business class, then long haul economy until only two remain for the long haul business class grand finale.
